Objectives
  1. Apply the learners understanding of psychiatric conditions and new developments in psychiatric treatment.
  2. Locate, appraise, and assimilate evidence from scientific studies.
  3. Interpret laboratory data, imaging studies, and other tests required for the area of practice and have an understanding of cost effective care.
  4. Critically appraise and apply evidence to guide care tailored to the individual patient.
  5. Obtain knowledge in the areas of physician wellness, bias, diversity, racism/anti racism,equity, and inclusion.
  6. Continually idenitfy, analyze, and implement new knowledge, guidelines, standards, technologies, products, services, or resources that have been demonstrated to improve outcomes.

In support of improving patient care, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
