Overview

This is our annual health equity summit, which focuses on health inequities in different areas each year. This year we are focusing on mental health equity. There is an increasing need to focus on mental health issues and problems that people are experiencing, for example depression, anxiety, suicidal, and behavioral concerns. There is a need for more conversations, trainings and providers to support the mental health needs of the population. There are also disparities within each area of mental health for marginalized populations who are under- resourced and/or come from ethnic backgrounds, low income , persons with disabilities or LGBTQIA population. This summit will provide updated information from re-known experts in the field , with two key-note speakers from psychiatry and psychology fields. In addition, participants will be able to participate in two -workshops for skill development in the morning as well as two workshops in the afternoon as well as receive resource information.
