WMed Translational Research Seminar Series--Dr. Irving Vega

This Translational Research Seminar event is intended to help doctors, students, and researchers understand how scientific discoveries made in the laboratory, in the clinic, or out in the field are transformed into new treatments and approaches to medical care that improve human health. Dr. Irving Vega, an Alzheimer’s disease expert at Michigan State University, will discuss how he bridges the gap between ‘bench’ research and community.

3. Describe the concept of translational research and how it differs from basic research and clinical research.
