The mission of the Michigan Association of Medical Examiners is to foster the highest professional standards in the performance of the duties of the county medical examiners of Michigan. Our annual conference welcomes all professionals and students in the field of forensic pathology and death investigation.

1. Learners will be able to describe what STORM does and how it assists in the death investigation process
2. Learners will be able to understand the benefits of having an in-house analyst dedicated to drug-related deaths
3. Learners will be able to understand what the term "aerial lift-related deaths" entails.
4. Learners will be able to get an in-depth look at the circumstances of death and autopsy findings in our aerial lift-related deaths cases and compare them with similar cases they have had.
5. Learners will be able to know more about the recommendations to minimize aerial liftrelated deaths.
6. Learners will better understand the clinical documents and charting provided by organ procurement organizations.
7. Learners will be shown what clinical testing occurs to ensure organs are transplantable.
8. Learners will better understand ways in which forensic documentation can be provided by the organ procurement organization.
9. Learners will understand how diagnostic testing is aiding in forensic documentation during the organ matching process.
